Not a fish this week, but a rather complex species for keeping in an aquarium: the mollusc lima scabra, also known as the flame scallop. This creature should receive the necessary amount of phytoplankton for nutrition on a daily basis. It is because of the lack of food that these animals do not live longer than six months in an aquarium in most cases. Scallops are very beautiful animals, bright red in color, with a strip on the inner mantle, shimmering like lightning. In nature they live for about 5 years, therefore, it is better not to buy these animals for your aquarium, where they will slowly waste away and eventually perish.
The Yellow Blackspotted Puffer is known for its curious, playful behavior. They can be shy at first though.
